Deliver care to patients performing established nursing procedures utilizing population-specific guidelines
within an urgent care environment. Triage walk-in and/or call-in patients and assess per approved protocols.
Utilize the nursing process to coordinate and provide patient care.
Provide safe, accurate and clinically competent direct care to patients and families, recognizing patient needs.
Seek appropriate assistance and use clinic resources to enhance own clinical decision making.
Prepare patients for examinations to be performed by physician.
Obtain health history information, take accurate vital signs, and review medications. Document plan of care provided.
Assist with office procedures. Administer treatments and perform diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician, including point-of-care lab tests.
Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN.
Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
Current American Heart Association BLS that does not expire within 60 days from date of hire.
American Heart Association ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
Emergency Room nursing experience preferred.
American Heart Association PALS preferred.
