The Director of Nursing Support is responsible for the coordination, operation, and management of the staffing functions of Nursing Services. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of scheduling excellence system for RMC. Responsible for developing and distributing reports to leadership related to contract labor and staffing excellence. Responsible for analysis of all staffing and scheduling metrics. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with scheduling excellence, managing orientation costs, and premium labor costs to budget.
Assumes all facets of operations and accountability of float pool staff, nursing supervisors and staffing office personnel. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and achieving budgeted productivity standards. Conducts annual performance of assigned staff. Provides coaching and counseling for employees as appropriate; supervises scheduling; monitors and addresses employee attendance.
Responsible for throughput improvement processes.
Develop strategic plans specific to staffing and nursing supervisor services including: program development, quality standards and improvements, patient safety and patient satisfaction initiatives. Works with CSO and Associate CSO to ensure nursing staffing is managed effectively.
Colorado RN license or Compact RN license accepted upon hire, CO license required within 90 days of hire.
