Develops, administers and directs strategic and tactical operational activities and programs directly related to trauma services, injury prevention and outreach for the operating group. Evaluates patient care services to reduce gaps in service and overcome barriers to cost effective patient care. Ensures that all regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards are met including Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the American College of Surgeons requirements. Responsible for daily operations at designated facilities and the achievement of standards related to quality care, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and fiscally responsible care delivery.
Minimum Education Requirements
Master's Degree in Nursing or related health field or actively enrolled in a Master's degree program with a completion date within 3 years of hire
Minimum Experience Requirements
Seven years of trauma, emergency and/or critical care experience Four years of previous leadership experience Experience with trauma registry and coding, preferred Understands national, regional, state and local trauma considerations Excellent communication, proven leadership and management skills Must be comfortable managing difficult personnel and clinical issues Knowledgeable with process improvement models and is successful in creating positive change Capable of creating and meeting deadlines while working independently Experienced in understanding and producing statistical reports for quality and performance metrics. Capable of creating and presenting education to groups of all levels Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
Current Colorado RN license Membership to a related professional organization preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, Emergency Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association)
