This position is to support the cv surgery triage nurse, cv surgery nurse navigator and vascular nurse navigator. The position includes triaging patients via the phone or via nurse visits, walk in patients and tracking patients and monitoring cv surgery patients. Excellent phone triage skills and assessment skills a must. Previous clinic experience preferred.
Adhere to expected and established protocols related to patient safety, fall and skin precautions, restraint use and medication administration.
Provide education to patient and family, using population-specific criteria.
Provide excellent customer service through prompt and thoughtful assistance to patients and families utilizing the principles of patient and family-centered care.
Document care provided per established guidelines.
Implement practice changes based on current evidence-based nursing literature and/or research guidelines.
Practice according to professional and ethical standards in accordance with the Colorado State Nurse PracticeAct, ANA Code of Ethics, and Nursing Service Scope of Practice.
Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN required.
6 months nursing experience required.
American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer required. American Heart Association ACLS also required.
Unrestricted RN license by State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
Clinic nursing experience preferred..
