The Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in the care of his/her patients/families. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient/family. The Registered Nurse will rotate to all areas of Diagnostic Imaging and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The Registered Nurse displays positive support for the values and mission of NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization. The Registered Nurse serves as a patient advocate and provides patient care through the implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality care for patients/family utililizing the services of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Colorado.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.
2 years critical care experience in specialty unit preferred (Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, Radiology).
Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. The DI RN must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Degree of Supervision Required:
Under supervision of Director or Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Patient Care Supervisor.
