Track and coach patients progress through pre-operative period, following ordered labs, tests and studies. Provide direct patient care including gastric band adjustments, evaluate outcomes, consult with other providers/specialists as needed and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
Prescribes or recommends prescriptions for medication and other treatments according to established federal and state regulations and requirements.
Performs, orders, and evaluates results of lab, x-ray, and diagnostic tests as indicated.
Provides coverage for other providersâ?? patients when a provider is unavailable. Assists in acute care, follow ups, messages and prescription refills. Excludes patients covered under a case global period.
Masters Degree or equivalent education from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Experience in Bariatric Services care management preferred.
Current Colorado or Compact State RN License in the state of Colorado with noted authority as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License and DEA licensure
Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with associates and the public at large.
