Manager of Facility Support Services is responsible for the administrative operations of Facilities, Plant Operations. The maintenance of all policies, procedures, and quality control policies; construction oversight, code compliance; the administration of EC standards etc.; the administration of all budgets; effective inter department relations.
Minimum Education Requirements
4-Year Degree Preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture related field
Minimum Experience Requirements
Prior Supervisory Experience in the area of responsibility; Experience with blue print reading, CADD system, knowledge of local building codes, N.F.P.A., O.S.H.A, JCAHO EOC requirements, policy and procedure development and implementation. Five years in healthcare facilities, plant operations and/or construction management desired. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
■ Manages capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility, ensuring appropriate utilization of resources. Insures maintenance procedures and supporting documentation are maintained to applicable codes and standards.*
■ Coordinates development of maintenance schedules, work order schedules, repair and, providing coordination with key stakeholders to meet the needs of patients, physicians, staff and visitors. Manage the day-to-day operations of the plant operations to ensure smooth operation for staff, patients, physicians etc.*
■ Coordinate timely completion of projects with effective management progress reporting for schedule and cost.*
■ May monitor and supervise contract personnel for compliance with contracted documents. Negotiate contract terms and conditions as appropriate consistent with approved policy guidelines. Monitor contractor project timelines and requests for payment to ensure compliance with contract and policy guidelines.*
■ Facilities staff education, communication and performance appraisal process. Develop mechanisms to enhance associate satisfaction to achieve goals consistent with departmental and facility Q12 targets.*
