Works under direct supervision of a hospitalist physician. Appropriately and consistently alerts supervising physician to any concerning conditions (or changes in condition) in patients that warrant attention. Will maintain excellent working relationship with hospital, clinic staff and other physicians.
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other providers/specialists as needed and adjusts care processes to ensure optimal patient care. May be responsible for coordinating health education information.
Identifies patient/client needs, develops quality programs, and ensures delivery of quality services to meet those needs for all patients.
Prescribes or recommends prescriptions for medication and other treatments according to established federal and state regulations and requirements.
Orders and evaluates results of lab, x-ray, and other diagnostic tests as indicated.
Provides coverage for other hospitalistï¿½s patients when a provider is unavailable. Assists in acute care, follow ups, messages and prescription refills.
Is a contributing member of the team in assisting in the efficiency of the workflow and in the education of the residents.
Participates in problem solving teams, committees and provides suggestions to management to improve overall quality/quality of care and day-to-day operations
Assists with unit coverage when applicable.

Masterï¿½s Degree or equivalent completed education from an accredited PA program.
2 Years advanced practice related experience.
License / Certification / Registration
Current Colorado Physician Assistant License and DEA license
Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with associates and the public at large.
