Manages the daily operations of the department to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

With over 4,000 procedures and 1,000 PCI annually, 12% annual growth, 41 minute Door to Balloon time, and robust structural heart and EP volumes, the cath labs are recognized across the country as a destination for quality and innovation.
The cath lab manager will oversee all aspects of the labs and pre/post functions and labs at Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital which includes coronary, vascular, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures.Responsibilities include department profit/loss, quality, research support, productivity, new products and procedures, scheduling optimization, and HR responsibilities for two locations. The manager will lead 50 plus team members and be the primary liason with 10 interventionalists, 6 electrophysiologists, and 11 non-invasive cardiologists.
Current lab configuration is: 3 coronary/vascular labs, 2 EP labs, and 1 hybrid lab for structural heart procedures.The manager will be responsible for the construction of 1 EP lab, 1 coronary lab, and 1 vascular lab over the next 12 months.Procedures include: TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, Lead Extraction, PFO/ASD, complex ablations, devices, carotid, peripheral, primary PCI, and diagnostic angiography.
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
Certified as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT), OR Cardiovascular Technician with RCIS (CVT/RCIS), OR Registered Exercise Physiologist, OR State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) OR Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or RVT or RVS.
