The project manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and to facilitate full realization of benefits defined in the Business Case. This should be achieved by appropriate adherence to the project management methodology and best practice within the profession, involving the production of plans, documentation and guidance for project teams throughout the project life-cycle and ensuring all organizational procedures are adhered to.
The Project Manager role is appropriate for a Project Manager of moderate experience, with responsibilities for less complex projects within the portfolio, and with normally low to moderate budget and risk to the organization. The role should provide scope for further development towards Sr. Project Manager, e.g. with opportunity provided to shadow/provide support to more experienced Project Managers and to accept increasing levels of project management responsibilities.
Manage several tracks of a project. Responsible for an element of the project and its associated project team;
Manage the project during the development, implementation and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available, and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters;
Formulate statements of problems; establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems, and obtain approval thereof;
Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team;
Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle;
Meet in conference with stakeholders and other project managers, and state problems in a form capable of being solved;
Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools; and
Complete project sign-off process
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or Healthcare or equivalent of combination of training and experience
1 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
Experience in Software development Life-cycle
Strong experience in Healthcare domain preferred
Experience in managing projects related to Healthcare
Knowledge and experience in data mining techniques
