Performs the primary functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients of the unit during his/her shift. Is responsible for meeting the established ICU/Step-Down/Telemetry standards of nursing practice, for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment on the unit, and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Is able to function independently with only occasional or limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Colorado.
CPR required by completion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently
NIHSS required within 3 months of employment
TNCC or TCAR and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred: Baccalaureate degree, critical care or CCRN certification.
1 Year experience in Med/Surg and one year critical care nursing preferred.
