This role is responsible for the development, designing, and delivering the training/curriculum for the electronic health record. Consults with operational leaders/staff, analysts and other training professional staff on training needs. The Instructional Designer supports the training environments, curriculums and e-learning for system applications for new hire and end user training. The Instructional designer monitors training program effectiveness.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, a Clinical field, other related field Masters preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in an Information Systems or Healthcare environment Experience with adult education, instructional design and curriculum delivery, preferred
EPIC certification required upon hire or within four months of hire/transfer Ongoing maintenance of Epic certification(s) required

Responsible for supporting all elements of training planning, design, development and implementation for designated application(s).*
Assists Training Manager with training strategy for designated application(s).*
Participate in the development of training policies and requirements for designated application(s).*
Completes training tasks outlined in the training project plan and established by the Training Manager.*
Responsible for development of detailed, workflow-based curriculum for designated application(s).*
Responsible for building, testing and maintaining the training environment for designated application(s).*
Attends status meetings held by the training team and their designated application team(s). May also attend change control meetings and other meetings as needed.*
Ensures deliverables are approved by the appropriate members of the project team and are completed in accordance with the training strategy.*
Develops appropriate proficiency measures for training.*
Determines the appropriate level of training (time, delivery method) for each user in designated application(s).*
Conducts training for designated application(s).*
Champion the project.*
Trains and supports a team of supplemental (credentialed) trainers in their designated application(s).*
Delivers instructor-led training for super user and end user audiences.*
Maintains training curriculum, training environment, and delivers ongoing education post go-live.*
