Under the direction of the Sports Medicine Program Coordinator, this position provides athletic training services to local athletic program participants and other clients. Performs within the athletic trainer scope of practice as defined by the Colorado Medical Practice Act.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training related field from an accredited college required.
•One year previous athletic training experience preferred.
•Completion of supervised clinical experience or internship training in athletic training under the supervision of a person accredited by a national athletic training standards organization designated by the state board of medical examiners required.
•Current CO Athletic Trainer Registration and Athletic Trainer Certification with the Board of Certification required.
•American Heart Association BLS certification required within 90 day orientation period.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Ability to be self-directed and manage time well.
•General computer skills including Microsoft Office products helpful.
•Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
