The Clinic Manager is responsible for carrying out the health care mission and the objectives of the SCL Health System as it relates to the overall business operations and affairs of the clinic. In doing so, establishes shortâ?? and longâ??range goals, objectives, plans and policies subject to approval of the Executive Director. Performs related duties as required.
1. Education â?? Bachelor's degree in social sciences, a healthcare related field, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. Courses should include health care organization management, statistics, accounting and finance.
2. Experience â?? Approximately 3-5 years in a health care organization to gain an understanding of the administrative aspects of the health care field and to be able to effectively direct Clinic operations is preferred.
3. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities â??
a. Administrative and philosophical compatibility with the health care apostolate of the SCL Health System required.
b. Knowledge of health care organizational management, basic finance and statistics, and related health care legislation.
c. Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons and to coordinate and develop community resources for the benefit of the indigent community.
