Administers the Medical Technology Equipment Management Program by supporting and maintaining all included equipment to ensure safety, reliability and proper functioning at all times. Work in the multiple Centura Hospitals and Clinics maintaining and calibrating medical equipment. Assist with the Cyber Security Hardening of Centura Medical Devices. Document work completed on device in electronic database as well as add/subtract pieces of equipment in the inventory. Gain experience needed to qualify for full-time position.
Minimum Education Requirements
Associates Degree (AA) in a technical field from a 2 year college or technical school or relevant experience equivalent required.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Current, valid Colorado driver's license.
Demonstrates leadership and assumes responsibility when the senior person on a job or project. *
Maintains professional growth and development through professional affiliations, seminars, internet correspondence, technical publications, etc., to keep abreast of the medical technology field. *
Adheres to all safety and infection control procedures. *
Attends committee meetings and attends other meetings as required.*
Monitors work performed by outside contractors; effectively responds to "On-Call" during off hours to provide 24 hour emergency repair coverage; this involves phone consultations and a timely response when problems cannot be solved over the phone. *
Uses biomedical/electronic test equipment properly to perform inspections and diagnosis of equipment failures. *
Requisitions supplies and materials as needed; properly stocks parts and maintains inventory; assists in evaluating new equipment. *
Responds to all calls for emergency repairs; responds to codes such as "Mr. Strong" or "Code Red" after proper training; maintains records of all maintenance and repairs in accordance to the Medical Equipment Management Program; diagnoses system malfunctions on mechanical and electronic equipment; repairs or replaces defective parts, tests and reinstalls repaired equipment in an ethically and fiscally responsible manner; maintains complete and up to date records of each piece of equipment. *
Performs preventive maintenance according to established procedures including safety testing, inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating, repairing or replacing components.*
Trains users on equipment as needed. *
