The Medical Director of Quality and Safety is responsible for collaborating with and leading teams who excel in developing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the continuous quality improvement activities within CHPG. In collaboration with the executive team, this position assists in defining opportunities for improvement and collaborates with various internal and external participants to optimize consumer experience, minimize unnecessary variation and create sustainable outcomes. This position also provides education in the area of quality improvement to departments, providers and the community and assists in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting organizations.

Minimum Experience Requirements
10 years' experience in health care with five years management experience
Experience in improving organizational performance
Experience in facilitating and leading multidisciplinary teams
Experience in using the common statistical and non-statistical tools of process improvement
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and work with groups of people
Ability to present data to professional groups and institute changes based on the data presented
Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making skills
Preferred: Experience in an acute health care setting as a practicing clinician
Licensed MD or DO in Colorado

Lead specific clinical quality and safety work groups; present findings to CEO, senior leadership, medical directors and various committees. *
Perform ongoing analysis of gaps in quality clinical care and barriers to care coordinating and engaging in activities to proactively promote implementation of evidence based best practices and resolve deficiencies. *
Design and implement quality improvement studies and activities to proactively implement evidence based best practices and resolve deficiencies. *
Oversee Clinical Peer Review. *
Oversee evolution of Evidence Based Medicine Guidelines Committee. *
Close coordination and collaboration with the Office of Medical Affairs. *
Coordination, monitoring and evaluation of medical record reviews when appropriate as it relates to quality and safety efforts. *
Educate providers and other organizational departments in the improvement of consumer outcomes and satisfaction for assigned population(s). *
Coordinate and lead functional areas to achieve national accreditation as it relates to quality and safety. *
