Formulates/defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, test, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analyst/programmers.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Equivalent work experience considered
Minimum Experience Requirements
4 years as an Application Systems Analyst/Programmer
Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred
Organized, self-starter Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication
Must be able to work independently.

Code, test and debug programs.*
Analyze, design, and make recommendations to improve existing systems and/or methods, and provide written, detailed reports of such. Generally responsible for system support. Ability to
coordinate various systems. Identify and manage new system specifications or user services and coordination of installations.*
Serve as resource and advocate for assigned user group(s).*
Assess assigned user areas for efficiencies and effectiveness. Evaluate alternative services and technology solutions on an ongoing basis and assures cost-effective solutions.*
Coordinate the preparation of departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures, job functions, operating procedures, manuals, and system documentation.*
Maintain complete and up-to-date project documentation for all assigned projects.*
