The Speech-Language Pathologist responsible for evaluation and treatment of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders.
Responsible for the direct or indirect provision of individualized care based on the assessed age and developmental needs.
Minimum Education Requirements
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Preferred: Membership in Colorado Speech-Language Hearing Association (CSHA).
Minimum Experience Requirements
One year as Speech-Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Home Care or Long Term Care experience.
Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP);
Membership in American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA);
Current Colorado drivers license;
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required, Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required for facilitie
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) preferred for facilities without an AED.

Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with therapy standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/ diagnostic interventions.
