CLINIC/LOCATION: Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG) St Anthony North Family Medicine Residency at 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center and St Anthony North Health Campus at 144th
SCHEDULE: This is a full time, Exempt position requiring 40 hours per week
SHIFT/DETAILS: Monday – Friday; business hours
Occasional travel to other sites to meet the needs of the clinic may be required.
The Behavioral Science Faculty member helps train physicians to integrate a biopsychosocial approach in their care of patients and their families. This is accomplished through consultation and direct patient care as well didactic and informal teaching of physician in training.
Minimum Education Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited program required
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 years of clinical experience commensurate with graduate education
Prior work experience in medical setting required
Experience with teaching and/or residency training preferred
Candidate must be eligible for mental health licensure in Colorado
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Direct patient care and patient assistance: Includes outpatient treatment of patients seen in the Family Medicine Centers. Inpatient consultation of patient on the Family Medicine Service. Ongoing treatment of patients hospitalized for psychiatric in-patient care. Assistance with care management activities, locating community resources, and assisting in the facilitation of support group and group visit activities.*
Administrative: Keeping accurate progress notes, responding to requests for reports, follow-up phone calls.*
Didactic Teaching: Preparation time, working with others to facilitate co-teaching, arranging for speakers.*
Research: Keeping abreast of current research in the field, working collaboratively on research projects with other faculty and residents.*
Resident support: Maintaining positive working relationships. Provide support for residents. Attend faculty meetings and committee meetings.*
Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently)
