CLINIC: Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG) Women's Health Specialist
SCHEDULE: Full Time
Occasional travel to other sites to meet the needs of the clinic may be required.
Provide clerical/office support within a physician clinic, including, but not limited to reception, telephone, medical records, charge entry, referrals and retrieval of medical information from internal and external systems and sources.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 year experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or health care setting
Knowledge of billing and coding
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers
Attention to detail
Critical thinking and problem solving
Certified Coder preferred
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Oversee clerical staff in accordance with Centura policies and procedures, work guidelines. Assist staff with development of performance goals and objectives. *
Assist management team in conducting performance reviews and established quality of service standards. *
Effectively manages office expenses.*
Assists in preparing work schedules and in ensuring adequate staff for patient volume. Identifies and resolved office operational problems.*
Responsible to partner with management team and human resources for recruiting, hiring, orienting and training new staff members.*
Resolves problems, ensures compliance with medical regulations and office standards of quality patient care and customer service.*
Assist in overseeing work environment, equipment and supplies at levels to assure quality patient and customer service.*
Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently)
