The Group VP Human Resources provides strategic leadership in the organization's approach to talent acquisition, management, development, and engagement.
This position enables leaders to create competitive advantage through engagement and the application of intellect and innovation in our system in order to achieve our strategic goals.
This position will be responsible for the operational HR functions of employment, compensation, employee relations, and leadership development ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory agencies, advising leadership and other customers on administration of policies and programs related to HR services, managing HR departments for quality and efficiency.
This position reports directly to the Group CEO with a dotted line report to the system SVP CHO.
The entity HR leaders and staff report directly to this position with a dotted line report to the entity CEO.

The Group VP Human Resources must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of our organization. Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred
work experience requirements
7- 10 years progressive HR management experience, including a combination of the following areas: talent acquisition, talent management, learning, leadership development, organizational development and employee engagement in a multi-site system
Track record of successfully implementing large scale/systematic change efforts across a system
Highly-regarded subject matter expert with the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with and influence the decision making of senior management.
Ability to lead and motivate a team of HR professionals and attract talent to the organization
Results-driven mindset and record of successful execution against goals
Viewed as a thought leader with the ability to gain credibility within the organization
Change agile and ability to balance multiple, competing priorities
Proven skills in employee and labor relations and demonstrates leadership skills in an HR environment.
Knowledge of governmental regulations and legal compliance regarding employment and benefits.
Knowledge of development and implementation of training programs.
Baseline knowledge of healthcare recruitment and compensation issues.
Knowledgeable in JCAHO and HIPAA requirements, budget process and developing and implementation training programs as it relates to Human Resources.

Responsible for driving and instilling the "Talent Mindset" by words and actions.
Partner on a system-wide process of workforce planning to forecast future talent needs, and to define, identify, and differentiate strategic, key, and core roles.
Responsible for strategic talent acquisition which leads to attracting, hiring, and onboarding the right person to fit the organization and the job.
Responsible for strategic talent assessment, development and deployment that contributes to Group and System engagement and productivity.
Responsible for strategic talent engagement and deployment that leads to increased Group and System retention and performance.
Responsible for educating and instilling the concept that leaders at all levels share ownership for talent practices and are held accountable for strengthening the talent pool across the system.
Promote sharing of knowledge and talent across the system. Cut across silos and create systems and culture that share these assets.
