Provide direct care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures to include: TEE, stress echoes, treadmills, nuclear stress tests to include dobutamine, regadenoson and other pharmacological agents as ordered (perflutren and amyl nitrite). Must possess the cognitive skills required to perform cardiac testing, including but not limited to, knowledge of the pathophysiology of the condition for which the test is ordered, appropriate indication, contraindications, risks, exercise pharmacological protocols, cardiac dysrhythmias, cardiovascular drugs, end points of various testing modalities, indications to terminate a stress test, ECG interpretation and ECG changes that results from stress and/or pharmacological agents. Ability to detect lethal diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate this to the appropriate providing team. Ability to analyze information of a complex nature. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks. Ability to problem solve and make safe decisions based on established guidelines and protocols. Ability to identify an emergency situation and initiate necessary life support protocols. Good history taking, accurate assessments.

Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school. A BSN is required for new hires or must be obtained within three years of acceptance of the position.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
6 months of RN experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.) ACLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date, and current AHA ACLS must be good through sixty days of hire
