Position Summary – IOM Technologist Certified

Elects optimal testing protocols to monitor the functional integrity of neurological structures appropriate to the surgical and/or non-surgical procedure being performed.
Monitor a variety cases that include but are not limited to complex spine, skull base, cardiac and thoracic, peripheral nerve, Interventional Radiology procedures, craniotomies that include mapping of speech and motor cortex.
Continuously monitors and alerts attending physician/surgeon of any critical changes.
Follows American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) guidelines related to Interoperative Monitoring (IOM).
· Associate's degree, or graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program.
· Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) experience in spine, intracranial, cardio-thoracic and peripheral nerve surgeries.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
· Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET).
· Clinical neurophysiology experience.
