The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients; rehabilitation needs, planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs according to age appropriate needs. In addition to direct patient intervention, the Physical Therapist is involved in the education of patient, family, caregivers and staff regarding the patient's functional level. The Physical Therapist may participate in student education and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to: computer, ultrasound, e-stim, iontophoresis, whirlpool/fluidotherapy, mechanical traction, treatment tables, balance master, treadmill, parallel bars, stair master, total gym, pulleys. Physical Therapist must be proficient in skills needed to treat patients in acute and outpatient settings. Physical Therapist is responsible for building personal referral base through physician relations and marketing. The Physical Therapist and Director will set established goals mutually agreed upon that are measured and monitored by the department Director.
Licensure/Certification/Registrations – State licensure from CO, Active BLS certification
Education: Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
Experience: 2 years clinical experience working as a physical therapist preferred. New graduates accepted.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to perform all evaluations, assessments, and tx planning required in this position. Effective verbal and written communication.
DEGREE OF SUPERVISION: Minimal after proficiency is established. Individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures, and practices outlined by immediate supervisor.
