Provides courteous and prompt telephone service while demonstrating a high level of customer service skills. Position requires a professional attitude and the ability to handle 100-200 calls per hour, monitor all emergency equipment (fire alarms, generators, etc.) and announce all hospital emergencies: codes, fire alarms, etc. Be able to handle a busy switch board.
Good communication skills required
High School/GED preferred
Current or prior hospital switchboard experience preferred
Good organizational skills
Able to work in a team environment
