Responsible for ensuring procedures for control of investigational product used in clinical research are developed, implemented and maintained.
Maintain documentation of investigational product accountability.
Review protocols and provide input on clinical and pharmacy supply needs.
Collaborate with staff and physicians to build protocol specific care plans and medications in the EMR systems.
Provide expertise and input into dosing of drug therapy appropriate utilization of protocol and drug restrictions.
Collaborate in creating and update of policies, procedures and work instructions.
Assist in development of pharmacy best practice recommendations for clinical procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Serve as the local pharmacy expert and primary point of contact for clinical research pharmacy and lab issues and is a liaison between staff, Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), study sponsors, CRO's etc.
Participate in required training and education programs, create educational materials, track training and maintain documentation.
Meet with sponsors, monitors, auditors, regulatory authorities etc. to review drug accountability and other study specific information.
Serve as the blinded pharmacist and manage study specific blinding plans.
Follow-up on any pharmacy or laboratory issues identified in monitoring letters.
Identify quality and performance improvement opportunities and collaborate with staff in the development and follow up of action plans.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from a college accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education required.
Minimum of 3 years post-graduate pharmacist experience in institutional pharmacy.
Clinical oncology pharmacist experience preferred
Previous clinical research experience required
Missouri/Kansas licensed pharmacist
Clinical Research Certification (CCRC, CCRA or CCRP) preferred
