Schedule: Full Time
The technician, under the direct super vision of the Tech Supervisor, fills routine orders for unit doses, prepares intravenous solutions, prepackages pharmaceuticals and performs related duties in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, and hospital standards and guidelines.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Pharmacy technician experience and/or pharmacy technician certification program preferred.
Technician Certification required within two years after hire date or may come to the job already certified.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Detail oriented proficient with computers, and effective communication skills.
- Frequent prolonged standing/walking.
- Regularly lifts supplies/equipment.
- Vision sufficient enough to read medical records, instruments, documentation, and visual details of medications.
- Hearing sufficient enough to interact with customers unable to speak at normal voice level.
