The Echocardiography Technologist I supports patient care by performing quality echocardiography procedures and consistently maintains focus on customer service and safety. Enhances quality by participating in performance improvement. Supports the Cardiology department and reports to the Cardiology Supervisor/Director.
Qualifications 2-Year Degree; May substitute degree for graduation from an accredited school of Echocardiography Technology.
Must obtain CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire date.
One year hands-on experience in Echocardiography in a comparable healthcare setting.
Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to learn to perform direct patient care. Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients' needs and responses to care. Ability to function calmly during physically and emotionally stressful situations.
