This is a 0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week (on average) grant funded position lasting for 56 weeks concluding on 7/31/2018. The position will not be extended beyond the conclusion of the grant.
Work under the supervision of the Talent Development Manager, the Talent Development Coordinator facilitates employerâ??led workforce initiatives that focus on a workforce development programs to attract and develop talent in sufficient number to meet the needs of SCL Health for current and prospective associates. This will be accomplished by working with all SCL Health care sites, community and educational partners to raise awareness for career opportunities in critical occupations, improving skills and engagement, while providing technology/career training for targeted occupations that increases the collective impact and coordination of SCL Health â??s workforce innovation for talent management as well as supply and demand. Advocate for the workforce programs, provide information and resource and assist with the management of these programs, apprenticeships, grants, and the program(s) contract vendors. Supervise, provide and coordinate workforce activities and events.
- Bachelorâ??s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- Two years of professional level experience in project and/or program management required
- Four years of experience with job service, labor market information, and marketing, training, and employer relations is highly preferred
- Current holder of one or more of the following certification is preferred: Certified Workforce Development Professional, Certified Workforce Specialist, Project Management, Career Coaching, Career Development Facilitator, Strategic Workforce Planning Certification
