This is a part time position. Will work Monday - Friday, No nights, No on-call, No weekends, No holidays. Days and hours will vary.
Utilize the nursing process to coordinate and provide patient care as circulator or scrub in the operating room.
Demonstrate an ability to handle emergency situations.
Collaborate with other health care team members regarding specific patient and surgeon needs for a procedure.
Work closely with all peri-operative team members (surgeon, anesthesia provider, scrub tech) in patient preparation for surgery.
Respond appropriately to accommodate needs of team members. Involve patient and family/significant others in plan of care, using population specific criteria.
Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). CNOR certification preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Previous operating room experience preferred. Prefer experience in RN Circulate, RN Scrub Services, General, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Cataract and Podiatry.
