PVMC is a 98-bed community hospital with outpatient medical office plazas on its Brighton campus, in Fort Lupton, and in the Reunion area of Commerce City. PVMC has been designated one of the world's most patient-centered hospitals by Planetree, Inc. Platte Valley's 10 Pillars of Healing are incorporated into every patient experience. They include integrative therapies, human interactions, support networks, healing design, education and information, healthy and delicious food, healing art therapy, spirituality, healing touch, and healthy communities to help patients recover.
Also a nationally ranked top performing hospital, PVMC offers high-level services -including a Primary Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center and advanced cardiovascular program, a Level II Special Care Nursery, and innovative surgical, orthopedic and women's care - found in larger metropolitan hospitals. We work closely with physicians, case managers and nursing to provide high quality therapy services and to support discharge planning.

â?¢General debilitating medical conditions, including post-surgical procedures
Our Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehab department consists of PTâ??s, OTRâ??s, SLPâ??s and a Rehabilitation Aide. PTs conduct one-hour evaluations for new patients and 30-45 minute treatment sessions for returning patients. One hour of documentation time is built into the schedule (30 minutes before lunch and 30 minutes at the end of the day). We are open Monday-Friday and our hours are typically 6:30 am-6:30 pm. We treat a wide variety of acute and chronic orthopedic and neurological diagnoses for patients of all ages (we have therapists who specialize in pediatrics). A Culture of Excellence and Care
Platte Valley Medical Center is proud of our Planetree Designation which represents the highest level of evidence based achievement in patient/person-centered care. All associates at Platte Valley commit to the Platte Valley Behavior Standards that help to sustain our culture of excellence. Platte Valley is Brightons third largest employer with 750 staff and we recognize and value that one of our greatest strengths continues to derive from the friendships and alliances found throughout the Hospital.
Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) promotes the science that tobacco use is harmful to health and does so by leading by example, encouraging abstinence, and sponsoring stop smoking education for the community. According to the Center for Disease Control, tobacco use is the nations leading killer and the single most preventable cause of disease, disability, and death in the United States. There is no safe way of using tobacco, and substances in tobacco and tobacco smoke may cause harm even at low levels of exposure. Tobacco and marijuana use by employees diminishes the hospitals capacity to advocate for healthy living and sends a message counterproductive to the hospitals mission and values.
If you have been tobacco-free and marijuana-free for the past 90 days, please continue to fill out your application. If you have not been tobacco-free and marijuana-free for the past 90 days, we are unable to accept your application at this time. We will be happy to accept your application in the future, once you have been tobacco-free and marijuana-free for 90 days. We reserve the right to do a marijuana test randomly or for cause.
