Position Summary: The Medical Receptionist provides assistance with patient scheduling, organizing monthly cleft palate clinics, complete patient clinic reports, assists with maintaining medical equipment and supplies, and other duties as needed. Specific duties include answering phones, patient check in, and back up coverage for the referral department.
I. Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
C. Experience: One year of previous medical reception or equivalent work experience.
D. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Advanced knowledge of computers is preferred. Demonstrates good organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Demonstrates excellent and appropriate oral and written communication skills. Ability to coordinate screening schedule and information with the multidisciplinary team members. Exceptional customer service skills.

III. Degree of Supervision Required: Performs essential functions without constant supervision. Clinic manager provides general direction, assigns projects and evaluates performance.
IV. Orientation Period: Orientation will be contingent on experience.
