Leadership for clinical operations for the Float Pool and Staffing Office. Accountable for professional clinical practice, including staff acquisition, on-boarding, orientation, supervision, and performance evaluation for a variety of clinical positions. Responsible for daily float pool and staffing office operations. Responsible to execute system operational tactics that support the overall cost and quality strategies related to clinical resources, staffing, and growth with the outcomes of staffing/scheduling software optimization and controlled contract labor costs. Ensures clinical excellence in all practice settings.

5 years experience in acute care setting 2 years healthcare leadership experience
Current CO RN License required
Job Responsibilities: Recruit, selects, monitors, develops, coaches and mentors staff to achieve outcomes for quality patient care.* Maintains a work environment that encourages retention, customer service, and patient-centered care. * Facilitates staff competency by identifying, measuring and evaluating desired performance and holding staff accountable. * Develops and achieves department goals and objectives utiliz1ng a transformational leadership approach. * Coaches staff on problem solving and critical thinking. * Supervises scheduling and staffing of administrative staff and float pool staff. *
Monitors and improves metrics such as hours of float pool services, percent nursing BSN, percent nursing certification, overall contract labor use, turnover, retention, and staffing software optimization. * Manages performance, feedback and development systems. * Advocates for float pool staff when interfacing with facility staff and leadership. * Ensures all human resource processes are followed in accordance with Centura policies and procedures. * Develops, monitors, and evaluates plan for associate satisfaction. * Ensures quality patient care is provided by float pool staff by performing documentation audits, reviewing facility evaluations, and monitoring daily performance.* Builds collaborative relationships with Centura facilities that facilitate nursing best practices and quality patient care.* Engages in a collaborative partnership with regional pool educator to impact quality of education and competency assurance.* Implements and monitors effective and appropriate department operational improvement programs and associate satisfaction programs.* Knowledge of general office equipment/supply repair cost and services; monitors office safety, authorizes office repairs as necessary and completes required work requests. Ensures that evidenced based research, system wide professional policies/procedures/processes are integrated into the clinical practice of the float pool associates.* Ensures float pool and staffing office policies and proceduresÂ are current, relevant, and reflect evidence based practices.* Is accountable for preparation, monitoring and management of operational budget.* Manages departmental resources.* Grows and expands services provided by the regional float pool in an effort to decrease contract labor costs.* Responsible for invoice management and vendor payment.* Participates in making collaborative decisions that contribute to the success of the organization.

Promotes and maintains positive, professional relationships with staff, leaders, and entity key stakeholders and serves as a role model, coach, and mentor for associates.* Assists float pool educator during competency validation assessments, orientation, and other related skills fairs.* Partners with regional float pool recruiter to review applicant quality, numbers and types of applicants, and to plan future needs for regional float pool.* Thorough and confidential auditing of patient charts and records to ensure clinical compliance with Centura policies, procedures, processes, protocols.*
Routine auditing of narcotic administration and review of Pandora reports*
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement holistic, individualized plan of care.* Responds comfortably and effectively to clinical crisis; diffuses tension and d1rects and assists others appropriately.* Acquires expertise in Colorado Nurse Practice Act and appropriately reports and investigates practice act violations.* Leads Staffing Application Steering Committee* Meets with key stakeholders in staffing offices and nursing leadership to facilitate optimization ofstaffing/scheduling software.*
Ensures regional float pool is always regulatory ready and meets compliance requirements.* Partners with key departments such as Information Technology, Human Resources, Nursing, etc to ensure completion of initiatives and projects.*
