The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talentedÂ Senior HIM Analyst.
The SeniorÂ HIM Analyst position is responsible for the daily medical record reconciliation, CerBatch exception queue processing, duplicate medical record merging and maintenance of high speed scanners. Â In addition to the above duties the employee will also provide assistance to prepping, scanning, QC, and validation of GWUH medical records as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
Record Reconciliation; to include receiving, sorting, validating discharge dates and record types, and maintaining a log of medical records received and processed.
CerBatch processing; Daily monitoring and processing of exception queue, reporting all increase in volume or trends to the supervisor.
Duplicate MRN merging: research of all requests, merging duplicate MRNâ€™s that have been confirmed once the patient is discharged. Maintaining a log of completed merges that include; requestor, error type, discharge status, any additional notes needed.
Performs quality control and corrects any errors that occurred during the preparation, scanning and indexing of the medical charts.
Equipment maintenance; Ensure all equipment is cleaned and calibrated per schedule or as needed.
Prepares medical record for processing by verifying all documents are correctly labeled, sequenced and belong to one patient/encounter as appropriate.
Scans batches of both medical records and/or loose pages to create or update the electronic chart.
Reviews the electronic medical record for verification against the paper record.
Generates error log and forwards to supervisor daily.
