Summary: Reporting to the Board of Directors (BOD), the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CEO/COO) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all OAA Orthopaedic Specialists programs and will manage a group of program directors. As the CEO/COO of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, s/he will provide leadership to OAA Orthopaedic Specialists by executing OAA’s 5-year strategic plan, and programmatic strategic initiatives. In addition, the CEO/COO will: provide coordination for the OAA Orthopaedic Specialists senior management team; serve as liaison to OAA Orthopaedic Specialists’ partners; and work with OAA Orthopaedic Specialists’ Board of Directors to keep them abreast of programmatic strategies and challenges.
The CEO/COO will partner with the BOD and the Administrative Team and will be responsible for developing and managing the operational aspects of the annual budget. Finally, the CEO/COO will cultivate existing relationships with various key individuals to include Hospital Administrators, Insurers, Payors, Accountants, Attorneys and Brokers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Strategic Plan Implementation:
Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan processes with the BOD and staff. Coach program directors as they implement the strategic plan and transition program operations.
Continually track and report on the progress of OAA’s 5-year strategic plan.
Perform business development activities such as proformas, analysis, and project planning implementation.
Represent OAA’s high performing positive culture that supports OAA’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.
Manage, review, and negotiate OAA’s business contracts to ensure strategic alignment and compliance.
Program Operational Leadership:
Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs.
Identify opportunities for OAA Orthopaedic Specialists to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
Lead, coach, develop, and retain OAA Orthopaedic Specialists’ high-performance senior management team with an emphasis on continuous strategic analysis and planning and program budgeting.
Develop and implement training programs and retreats to expand the capacity of all staff.
Prepare and submit an annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
Ensure the continued financial viability of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists’ operational units through sound fiscal management.
External Relationship Development:
Manage and cultivate existing relationships with Hospital Administrators, Insurers, Payors, Accountants, and Brokers to secure and expand recurring revenue streams.
Publicly represent OAA Orthopaedic Specialists with the media and external constituency groups including community, governmental, and private organizations and build excitement for OAA Orthopaedic Specialists’ mission.

Minimum BS/BA degree with at least 10 years of experience and a track record in senior program management. MBA Preferred
Healthcare experience working with a physician group and/or private practice.
Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.

Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and program development.
Strong understanding of financial statements, reporting and analysis.
In depth experience in program budgeting and fiscal management.
Experience in working with multi-hospital systems.
Experience managing human resources function including personnel, compensation, and recruiting.
Experience in monitoring Marketing Processes.
