This position supports the deployment of enterprise activities that promote development of specialty clinical staff and newly licensed registered nurses (NLRN) via residency programs. The coordinator ensures that educational offerings and course curricula are evidence based, meet regulatory requirements, reference appropriate professional standards of practice, and are in alignment with current and future workforce demands. Support and collaborate with key stakeholders to standardize the NLRN and specialty care educational infrastructure for the system and facilitate classroom education and training as needed. Support clinical residency program development, design, management, and evaluation; includes, but is not limited to, the following programs: NLRN nurse residency, Perioperative nurse residency, Critical Care nurse residency, Labor & Delivery nurse residency, Neonatal ICU nurse, and Surgical tech training program. The incumbent may lead and/or participate inÂ appropriate system level professional development councils and other committees related to residency programs.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
5 years nursing experience 2 years experience in nursing education, staff development, or academic instruction Demonstrates expertise in problem analysis and project management Expertise in adult learning principles, educational design of offerings, course curriculum design, and familiarity with evidence-based practice and research methodologies
MSN or enrollment in a MSN program, strongly preferred
Current Colorado RN License or license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Specialty certification in area of practice preferred (i.e. professional development)
Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
