Valley Regional is currently looking for a Speech Language Pathologist.
Performs initial evaluations of patients and implements plan of care.
Performs Modified Barium Swallow studies effectively and in a timely manner.
Identifies and assesses the patient's needs for special equipment.
Maintains up to date documentation in accordance with standards of practice.
Conducts tests and measurements of speech, language and swallowing ability.
Communicates effectively with patients in a caring and empathetic manner regarding their diagnosis, plan of care and goals of treatment.
Communicates effectively with referring physicians regarding the status of their patients receiving therapy.
Develops and participates in departmental, hospital and community in services.
Maintains current continuing education and provides documentation to hospital of current licensure.
Assists in maintaining adequate supplies /equipment for patient's therapy.
Current Texas license.
