JOB SUMMARY
Provides a major interface between physician providers in region, initial development and implementation of a program to contact all referring physicians in the region. Primary focus is referral management & physician relations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identifies all physician providers in the region, initially develops and implements a program to contact all referring physicians in the region.
Establishes relationship building programs between system and referring physicians. Establishes policies as they relate to programs of education and service.
Maintains relationships with referring physicians and healthcare organizations as well as other service organizations in the region.
Acts as liaison to system executives and organizations inquiring about clinical services at medical center and PeaceHealth Medical Group.
Develops database of all non-affiliated providers in the region and maintains quarterly contact with each physician. Identifies and assesses opportunities for collaboration w/providers in outlying communities.
Responsible for management of regions physician needs assessment.
Coordinates with Communications Specialists promotion of new physicians.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Three years related work experience
OTHER SKILLS:
Proficient level of technical expertise in Word and PowerPoint. Major HRIS solutions and MS Access skills strongly preferred.
Proven track record in sales and marketing
Ability to receive direction from supervisor but independence of method and process is emphasized and there is generally accountability only for results
High level of interpersonal relations, experience dealing with frustration highly desired.
