(Work Schedule: PRN / as needed; availability required for both Day and Night shifts)
Responsible for clerical duties required to maintain the supporting office of the Director of Emergency Services and the Emergency Department.
Performs order entry, transcribes orders, maintains daily physician call sheet, answers multi line phones, pages physicians, and maintains EMTALA log.
May work with Nurse Manager or designee to facilitate patient flow by maintaining ED medical record for completeness and ensuring that ED software for patient tracking is updated.
Ensures clerical equipment (copiers/printers/fax machines) is in working condition.
Supports and promotes an environment that is conducive to quality customer service.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Computer skills required with transcription of orders.
