Responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating and maintaining the occupational health programs for Centura.Â Serves as the Systemâs expert resource in assuring knowledge and compliance with all governmental agency regulationsÂ dealing with safety and wellness in the workplace. Maintains OSHA/BBP/Injury logs & exposures. Responsible forÂ coordinating FMLA compliance/authorization in conjunction w/ HRD. Acts as liaison in associate health matters betweenÂ Associates, supervisors, HRD and the Medical Director. The Occupational Health Nurse may also be responsible forÂ coordinating the W/C program and activities designed to prevent, assess and treat work-related injuries and hazardousÂ exposures; facilitates case management of workersâ comp claims, files First Report of Injury after reviewing/investigatingÂ incidents, reviews visit notes to coordinate back to work/light duty w/ managers and interacts w/ managers/HRD forÂ associates who can't be released to work.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need theÂ following:
Prefer working knowledge of Occupational Health to include blood borne pathogens; immunizations; communicableÂ diseases.
Knowledge of workersâ compensation procedures and regulations
General knowledge of OSHA, FMLA and ADA legislation
Experience in claims coordination and/or general case management or discharge planning
Associates Degree in Nursing required Bachelors in Nursing preferred
Current Colorado RN licensure required
Physical RequirementsÂ Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
