We are seeking an motivated, analytical and patient focused candidate for our Patient Advocate/Performance Improvement/Risk Management Coordinator.
Under the supervision of the Director of Risk Management/PI, this person assists in organizing work designed to evaluate the causation of risk events for the facility and assists in implementation of risk reduction strategies to minimize and eliminate events from recurring. This position requires the ability to prepare and present information to Facility Staff related to ongoing efforts to minimize and reduce risk events in the organization. Assists with the organizational efforts in planning, implementation and management of the UHS Risk Management TERM program that is designed to enhance the quality of patient care, reduce injuries, prevent claims and minimize liability exposures. Provides assistance with the implementation and monitoring of all aspects of the TERM program, assists facility in risk identification. This position actively works with Director of Risk Management/PI to develop Performance improvement strategies and action plans to maintain a high level of patient care. Responsibilities include auditing, data entry and preparing reports for submission to various entities.
This position primarily acts as the Patient Advocate. Investigating, resolving, documenting and reporting organization-specific patient and visitor complaints and concerns to leadership and staff to meet facility, corporate, state and federal guideline. Collaborates with departmental leaders in to ensure resolution of concerns presented by patients, families, visitors or other representatives of the patient. Actively participates in the development and implementation of customer service and patient relations initiatives related to the facility's mission and goals.
