This position is responsible for: performing electrocardiograms, both outpatient and inpatient, arranging for transtelephonic monitoring and Holter / Event Monitor placement, managing workflow associated with the ECG lab, completion of appropriate paperwork and follow up of test results and billing associated with specific test ordered by the physician, troubleshooting equipment and system malfunctions.
Perform electrocardiograms on outpatients and inpatients.
Arrange for transtelephonic monitoring on patients as ordered by physicians.
Perform Holter and Event Monitoring as ordered by physicians both inpatient and outpatient.
Data entry for billing tests performed on a daily basis.
Processing of test results, ensuring timely result reporting.
Billing reconciliation for inpatient and outpatient ECG, Holter Monitors, and Event Monitors.
Troubleshooting Tracemaster software systems malfunction.
Troubleshooting of equipment.
Possess a basic knowledge of arrhythmias and ECG tracings.
Ability to work well with others.
Good communication skills are required.
High School Diploma
Certified ECG Technician preferred
1-2 years experience, pediatrics preferred, exercise testing experience a plus
Proof of graduation from a certified Medical Assistance program CPR certification required from American Heart Association
Certified Medical Assistant with previous ECG experience â‹required
