The manager, Food & Nutrition is responsible for overseeing the Hospitals food & Nutrition activities, and for providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure efficient and courteous quality services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the delivery of food services to patients, visitors and staff
Responsible for scheduling, hiring, training and performance management of all Food Service staff
Manage outside consultant relationships and work assignments
Develop all work assignments for Food Service staff
Responsible to the management of all required documentation related to department management
Develops all menus for patients and staff
Responsible for sanitation in all assigned areas and maintaining adherence to all regulatory standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the staff
Openly accept feedback from others for the continued quality improvement of the organization
Additional duties as assigned
Culinary Arts or bachelor degree from accredited college or university. Documented, verifiable progressive management experience will be considered equivalent.
Possess City of Chicago Food Service Managers Certification
Minimum 2 years' experience in health Care food service operations
