JOB TITLE: Clinic Nurse Float or Certified Medical Assistant

Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and their family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Performs office procedures/testing and administration of medications as directed by provider and within the scope of practice (i.e. blood draws, injections, specimen preservation, etc.) Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing EHR to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment.
Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Willingly works in all System sites as assigned. Works under the general supervision of the site lead for daily operational issues. Works under the supervision of the provider in providing patient care. Directly reports to float pool leadership.
Specific Position Duties:
Primary work location will vary based on open shifts and operational needs within the medical group
Driving may be required between multiple locations within one shift
Weekend rotation required for practice sites open 7 days a week
Varying day and evening hours required based on needs of operations
Float Clinic Nurse must to be able to adapt to learning additional Clinic Nurse/PAR duties as they apply differently to each practice site to maintain expected productivity levels of the position.
Requires the flexibility to float on a daily basis to any site within a thirty (30) mile point to point radius from the home or home site.

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as a team player as well as an individual contributor with personal accountability.
Demonstrates computer and keyboarding skills and the ability to enter, retrieve and update individual patient records within the patient EHR.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentially and abide by all HIPAA regulations.
Pharmacology knowledge preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
Certification of Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program, current PA license or eligible for licensure.
This position may also be filled as a CMA, or LPN.
Minimum of one year in a provider office setting preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment, which includes exposure to communicable disease and blood/body fluids and exposure to negative outbursts from patients and/or families.
