Under direct supervisor of the of the CDI Program Director, the CDI Quality Liaison is responsible for promoting high-quality clinical documentation by collaborating with the CDI, Quality and CSC Program. This role promotes improvement initiativesÂ directed at system-wide quality indicators (i.e. patient safety indicators, hospital acquired conditions) and clinical evidenceÂ to support DRG, principal diagnosis, and secondary diagnoses assignments. Serves as the IT point person for ticketÂ submissions and follow through on issues through resolution. A clear understanding of clinical and operational workflows within the CDI program is vital to the success of the CDI program. In conjunction with the liaison work, other duties this position may be asked to undertake include, but are not limited to collaborate with regional quality directors, clinical informaticist on workflow redesign related to problem list and/or dropdown options within Epic.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum Experience Requirements 4 yearsâ experience as a CDIS 3 yearsâ experience in nursing Clinical documentation improvement and/or clinical experience preferred with ICU, CCU or strong Med/Surg experience Excellent organization, analytical, writing and interpersonal skills Dependable, self-directed, and pleasant with excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills
Current Colorado RN license required and maintained
Sedentary work- prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally
