Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center is a licensed 404 bed acute care facility. Position Summary: Complete oversight of the microbiology section of the laboratory including policies, procedures, quality assurance and personnel; technical bench work as needed to support workload demands. Regular attendance at Pharmacy/Infection Committee. Project and special assignments as directed by Administrative Director.
Full Time Days
1. State of California license: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
2. Minimum of 5 years of hospital laboratory experience in Microbiology; supervisory experience preferred.
3. Demonstrated superior ability to:
a. Work without immediate supervision
b. Complete major projects in a timely fashion
c. Coordinate, instruct, motivate and counsel other laboratory personnel.
d. Write clear, concise procedures and policies
e. Communicate verbally both within and beyond the department, in a manner which produces teamwork and results
f. Creatively solve problems and propose new concepts
4. Significant documented understanding of all phases of bacteriology, parisitology, mycology, mycobacteriology and related serological tests, including methodological details and quality control.
