Position Summary: The Sonographer Tech I performs the daily routine/critical care and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the Physician. Specifications of this position require employee to be proficient in either Echocardiography or Noninvasive Vascular Imaging with Registration in either a facility option at time of hire. The Sonographer I performs required diagnostic testing, conducts basic equipment maintenance, quality control measures, reporting of abnormal findings to physician (if immediate attention is indicated), and other administrative, technical or supervisory tasks as might be required.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent, plus one year of technical training including courses related to cardiology. Experience: Required: One year experience in cardiology or related education equivalent to one year experience.
Credentials: Required: RVT by ARDMS or RVS by CCI; BLS certification by American Heart Association.
