Coliseum Health System is a two hospital system located in Macon. You know us better as Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital. Over the last 40 years, it has been our privilege to care for many of you, your family and friends.
We have two full service medical surgical hospitals. Our staff and physicians are trained in the most advanced health care available in this area from cardiology to birthing services to emergency care, inpatient/outpatient surgery, and psychiatric care. All medical specialties are represented on our medical staffs from family practice to orthopedics to pediatrics to neurosurgery.
POSITION SUMMARY and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Supports Cath Lab and other hospital departments by assisting when time is available.
2.Delegates responsibilities when appropriate to provide for job growth and learning opportunities.
3.Provides guidance and recommendations for internal process improvement in support of departmental and interdepartmental methodologies for CVIS services
4.Responsible for leading the effort in capturing, validating, and submitting registry data to various cardiovascular registries.
5.Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
6.Provides recommendations to CV Director to ensure the overall success of the organization's compliance with the best practice standards for stress testing and cardiac non invasive procedures.
7.Collaborates with Department Administration to arrive at appropriate solutions for corrective actions to meet the department's needs in support of their documentation and collection of data as part of their patient/ procedure documentation.
8.Chest Pain Accreditation Coordinator
9.Demonstrates competency in emerging ACS treatment and diagnostic modalities.
10.Actively involved in educating others about the care of the ACS patient.
11.Assists in presenting ACS case reviews to medical staff for purposes of continuing education and process improvement.
12.Participates in ACS policy and protocol development.
13.Attends in service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
14.Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.
15.Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
16.Other duties as assigned.

Associate or Bachelor RN

Valid GA Nursing license
