Promotes improved quality and patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.Â Performs routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. Maintains records inÂ compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Demonstrates awareness and understanding aroundÂ what is at stake with patients in the OR. Facilitates the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatoryÂ assessments.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Must be enrolled in Front Range Community College (If hired, will be in theÂ Sterile Processing Trade program)
CRCST or CSPDT certification required within 18 months of hire or transfer
Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Locations hiring- Colorado Springs, Denver, and Louisville/Longmont.Â Please let us know in your cover letter which location you would be interested in.
