The Director of Mission and Spiritual Care provides leadership in assuring the integration of mission as a core business process and excellent pastoral/spiritual care as a component of the continuum of care. The
Director reports to the Group VP of Community Health and Values Integration. The Director insures that the hospital is fulfilling its mission as developed and approved by the Sponsor, CHI; plans, implements and
manages the functions of the Spiritual Care Department; and partners with area clergy and other religious and faith-based organizations. This position has the primary responsibility for facilitating a climate
conducive to the spiritual care and growth of patients, families, and associates of the hospital, andÂ promoting the development of mission integration across St. Anthony Hospital and its associated facilities. The Director provides proper and insightful supervision appropriate to the abilities of the CPE Supervisor, as well as residents/interns.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Â
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS MA in Theology or related field Strong knowledge of Catholic theology and moral teaching, including the Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) for Catholic Health Care ServicesÂ
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3 -5 years in Chaplain position 3+ years in business/leadership role in a management capacity Healthcare or healthcare administration background preferred
Certification with either NACC, APC, ACPE Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
